NACSW™ Nosework Classes
Instructor: Barbara Miller, CNWI
Lindsay Norber, CNWI
Our in-studio Intro to K9 Nose Work™ classes start back Tuesdays 5:30pm in January. There will be another round of beginning classes Saturdays in February.
All dogs in class are required to be crated, or in your car when not working. Your dog will have plenty of time to work during class, he should go home tired. We have a few crates in the studio on a first come, first serve basis. There is safe, covered parking to keep your pup safe from the elements. This class is ideal for introducing dog reactive dogs to sports, NACSW trial requirements require all facilities to provide a separate safe parking and potty area for any dogs that may need the extra help.
We are currently offering drop-in style classes for Continuing Nose Work (advanced students).

Intro to K9 Nosework™
Start you and your dog’s journey in Nosework here. This 6 week series is designed for teams new to the Sport of Nosework. We develop your dog’s independent drive to search for odor while you learn to read your dogs searching behavior.
Intro to Odor™
Second class in our Nose Work series, Intro to Odor™ converts your dogs searching drive to odor. We start working on the different elements that will be tested in searches, as dog teams learn to search for odor. We begin preparing you for your ORTs! (Odor Recognition Test) Dogs that already on odor may join this class with the instructors permission.
Continuing Nosework
Passed your ORTs? Join us to prep for Nosework trials. Let us know for what level you are practicing, we can design a search to help improve your team searching skills. Each week we will focus on one of the 4 different elements: Containers, Interiors, Exteriors, Vehicles. Use your class credits for the elements you want to work on. In case of inclement weather, we reserve the right to move class indoors, but students should be prepared to stay outside and practice in that days weather.
